On July 6th, 1907, Frida Kahlo was born. Many people think of her art or her flower crowns when they hear her name being said first, but what many people don't realize about Frida is that she was so much more. Considered one of Mexico's greatest artists, Frida was brilliant, extremely witty, passionate and dedicated to those she loved. She traveled the world sharing her art, which was her diary for the world to see. Inspired by Frida's vibrant and colorful life, Malori Maeva with Noir Floral & Styling set out to create a beautiful styled photoshoot to share the beauty of Frida's story. This shoot focused on the vibrant colors and patterns that were similar to the ones found in Frida's art. The entire aesthetic of this shoot, including the outgoing and fun personalities of the models, helped create the perfect setting for this beautiful idea. Since her death, Kahlo’s fame as an artist has only grown. The feminist movement (one that is very important to us) of the 1970s led to renewed interest in her life and work, as Kahlo was viewed by many as an icon of female creativity. To make things a little more special in honor of Frida's birthday today, Green Wedding Shoes has decided to share this beautiful inspiration shoot on their blog.
